Solar Energy
Are solar panels suitable for all commercial buildings?
Solar panels are suitable for most modern commercial buildings, especially those with flat roofs or metal rooftops. Older buildings may require a more detailed structural assessment to ensure suitability and safety.
Can I still use electricity from the grid?
Yes. Your system will automatically draw electricity from the grid whenever your solar panels aren’t generating enough to meet demand - such as during the night or periods of low sunlight. You’ll always have uninterrupted power.
What support do you offer after installation?
We provide full Operations & Maintenance (O&M) support, including regular site visits, system monitoring, and diagnostics. You’ll also have a dedicated account manager who’s always available to support you and answer any questions.
Do solar panels work in the UK's weather?
Yes, absolutely. Solar panels generate energy from light - not just direct sunlight. Even on cloudy days, they still produce electricity. While performance improves in brighter (higher irradiance) conditions, the UK’s climate is still well-suited for effective solar generation.
What is the lifespan of a solar panel system?
Our solar panels come with a 25-year product warranty and a 30-year performance warranty giving you long-term reliability and peace of mind.
How long does it take to set up?
Installation timelines depend on the size and complexity of the system. As a guide, our typical installation rate per team is 100kW to 300kW per week, assuming good weather conditions and site readiness. We’ll always provide a clear project schedule during planning.
Is financing support available?
Yes. We work with trusted Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) partners to offer flexible financing solutions. This allows you to benefit from solar energy with no upfront capital costs. Look to our PPA page for more details.
What is BESS – BATTERY ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEM?
BESS in the solar energy space refers to large-scale energy storage systems used
by businesses, solar farms, utilities, or grid operators to store and manage solar electricity. These systems store excess solar energy produced during the day and release it when needed - such as at night or during peak demand.
Is battery storage viable for my business?
It depends on your specific energy usage and electricity costs. Battery storage is particularly beneficial for businesses with high energy demand during non-solar hours or those facing high grid prices. We offer site-specific assessments to determine viability.
Operational & Maintenance
What does your O&M package include?
Our Operations & Maintenance packages typically include: Real-time system performance monitoring, Fault detection and diagnostics, Scheduled maintenance and site inspections, Reporting and performance analytics, Technical support from our in-house team.
How do you monitor system performance?
We use online data loggers and smart metering to track real-time system performance. This allows us to detect issues early and optimise energy generation for maximum efficiency. We also obtain site-specific satellite based real weather data, which we can then use to produce real performance ratio monitoring of your system. This intelligence gives us a very good view of the actual system performance throughout the year.
What's included in your diagnostics and testing?
We carry out: AC system testing (electrical infrastructure), DC system testing (solar modules and string performance), Inverter diagnostics, insulation testing, and safety checks. We also make use of thermal imaging drones with our own commercial drone pilots to give us entire system monitoring from ground level.
This ensures your system operates at peak efficiency and complies with safety standards.
How do I get started with O&M services?
O&M support is optional and tailored to your project. We price it on a per-project basis, depending on system size and your specific requirements. Just speak to your account manager to get started.
Plumbing & Heating
What heating systems do you install?
We install all plumbing and heating systems including Air Source Heat Pumps, Gas Central Heating, Hot and Cold-water systems.
Who do you work with?
We work with national builders such as Dandara, David Wilson, Barratt Homes, Charles Church, Mulberry Homes, Miller Homes and Persimmons.
Why are air source heat pumps required on new builds?
Air source heat pumps (ASHPs) are recommended in new builds because they help meet net zero carbon targets. Unlike gas boilers, ASHPs run on electricity and can be powered by renewables, making them a low-carbon heating solution. They're highly efficient, future-proof, and easier to integrate in new, well-insulated homes—reducing emissions and supporting long-term climate goals.
What areas do you cover?
We cover most of the Midlands and Home Counties.
Are your engineers qualified?
Yes, all our engineers are fully qualified and hold the necessary industry accreditations. We ensure they are trained to current standards and regularly update their skills to meet the latest regulations and best practices. This includes certifications for gas, heating systems, and renewable technologies where applicable.
Can you support with maintenance after handover?
Yes, we provide full maintenance support after handover. For the first two years, we cover all maintenance as standard. After that, we offer ongoing support and servicing options to ensure your systems continue to run efficiently.
About Aniron
What kind of companies do you work with?
We work with a wide range of businesses, from SMEs to large industrial sites. While we have extensive experience with high energy users, our solutions are scalable and can benefit businesses of all sizes looking to reduce energy costs and improve sustainability.
Are your systems environmentally responsible?
Yes. We prioritise sustainability across our entire supply chain. We source traceable, low-carbon-certified solar panels. We partner with manufacturers committed to end-of-life recycling. We ensure that all materials are responsibly sourced and meet ethical and environmental standards
Do your systems feed energy back to the grid?
Yes. Any surplus energy that your system generates and doesn’t use is automatically exported back to the grid.
What makes Aniron different?
We design and build investment-grade solar systems that are built to last—typically over 25 years. As one of the longest-established EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) companies in the UK, our experience, in-house expertise, and commitment to quality set us apart.
What is Aniron’s commitment to sustainability?
We practice what we preach. Our own facilities are powered by on-site solar generation. In fact, we’ve offset over 70.5 tonnes of CO₂ through our own on site energy generation. Sustainability isn’t just part of our service - it’s central to our
business. We have plans to be B Corp certified in the future.
